• VCF Scotland Jenni McIntyre

I’ve taken over the VCF Scotland email account from Fiona Bannerman who has so faithfully been leading us all for so long. Thank you so much for all you’ve done Fiona!
My name is Jennifer and I’m currently ‘non-practising’ but doing a PhD in Glasgow instead, which I love! I am really looking forward to helping folk co-ordinate VCF related events all over Scotland and would value any ideas you have.
If you would be willing, I would also really like to make a map here of where we are all based and our jobs +/- hobbies/families, partly to remember to pray more, partly to help stimulate ideas for meet-ups. For example, are you in the north of Scotland and like surfing or in the South and like walking, or eating cake? Are you a large animal vet or a researcher or a nurse? Email me back any details you want!
Also, if anyone would be interested in outreach - for example we’ve had VCF presence at various congresses over the last year, sometimes just meet-ups for meals or prayer, sometimes with banners and stalls. Students are always glad to hear of vets willing to give talks too!
Currently I know of an ‘Edinburgh’ group, which Stephen Anderson has started, primarily involving so far those in the Dick Vet VCF and those vets who are based in jobs in and around the university, but if you’re in the Edinburgh/Lothian/Borders region and would like to be involved let me know and I’ll send your details on.

  • Dr Leroy Dorminy Obituary

It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of Dr. Leroy Dorminy, the CVM Director Emeritus.
Dr. Dorminy was surrounded by his family as he passed away on Saturday evening, December 3 at the age of 93.  He was also covered by the prayers of many in the CVM family as we have loved and appreciated his faithfulness to God’s call on his life, and the hard work to start Christian Veterinary Mission.
Dr. Dorminy served faithfully to challenge, mobilize, and empower veterinarians in their Christian faith since the founding of CVM just over 40 years ago. We know that many of you will want to share your thoughts, and remember such a beloved servant, so we have created a memorial page in Dr. Dorminy’s honour (at cvmusa.org). We pray that these words will be an encouragement to all who knew him, as together we mourn our loss, and help inspire those who did not have the blessing of meeting him in person.
May we each consider how God is asking us to live our faith through the profession, and follow Dr. Dorminy’s example of serving Christ with our whole heart and being!

Kit Flowers Executive Director of CVM
