Hi! I thought I would write a few lines to introduce myself. My name is Hannah Thomson and I am a 4th year student at Edinburgh University. I have been involved with VCF since my first few weeks at university and I have been abundantly blessed by God through its ministry.
I was fortunate to grow up in a local Church of Scotland church in north-east Fife. About the age of 12 (funnily enough, one night when I was brushing my teeth!) I had a moment of realisation that I do not live life alone and that Christ is always with me. From then my faith grew throughout my teenage years and when I arrived at university I was keen to find other Christians at vet school. I have been very blessed by God throughout my time at university and the fellowship I have had with other Christians has been a significant factor in the deepening of my faith.
For the last few years I have been involved with leading the Edinburgh Vet School branch of VCF. This, mostly, has involved leading weekly bible studies and helping coordinate mission at the vet school. As a group we have been very blessed by God and it has been a personal privilege seeing faith develop and deepen in my fellow students as we have travelled this journey together.
I am very thankful for the inspiration, love and guidance I have been shown by many people in VCF. It has meant so much to me personally and I am grateful for the opportunity I have now been given to play my part in helping love and support people in our profession, whether they are Christians or non-Christians through this new role of student/new graduate committee member. I am excited to see how God will use me in his work through VCF.
I am looking forward to meeting more of you through my new role and sharing fellowship with you, therefore please feel free to get in touch with me, I would love to know how I can help you.
