We had a great time together near Penrith in Cumbria at the end of June. There was an interesting mixture of old timers (the men!) and younger ladies, and one vet student, Main from Glasgow. I’m not very good at getting round to organising meetings but with Mike Christian’s encouragement and Jen home from Africa with her husband, we got together at last.

As always there was a strong bond of belonging to Jesus and to the same profession.

We had worship with Abi’s virtuoso violin and my rusty guitar playing which was great (the worship that is not my guitar – well I enjoyed it anyway). Jen spoke and showed some slides of her experiences in a country that has no religious freedom and she shared how that can play out for a Christian there.

We had a good pray together too, for opportunities for Jen and her husband to speak to locals about Christ, for the VCF slot at the BCVA congress and for each other in our own jobs and roles.

Thanks to Tina too for the most amazing cake!
