"Nothing makes me more sad than to have a dog or a cat on the table and not know what to do."  I could hear the frustration in his voice.  My brother, a Christian vet in Ghana urged us to please send them long and short term vets who could train them further—continuing education.

Role

  • Train veterinarians in clinical practice or anything you feel comfortable teaching!  Share the love of Christ by loving your neighbours as yourself.
  • Encourage the Ghanian Christian Vet Fellowship, challenge them to missions, pray together, fellowship.  I promise you, the blessing goes both ways.
  • Student discipleship:  Mentor students in the vet school in their Christian walk; they would be delighted for your input, just like you would have been back in vet school.
  • Teach a course at the vet school—which can include clinical practice tips or other subject matter.  Even better, bring the equipment for the course and leave it behind so they can use it to teach others!

Dates:  Their school year is from January to June, and again from September to December.  When can you come?  Aim for two weeks.  Even pray about bringing a team!  For starters, I'm suggesting June 1 – 15, and September 16 – 30.  But dates can be very flexible.

Cost:  Get your visa and fly to Accra.  Costs is only $950 for two weeks.  Any tourism you book, or souvenirs or equipment or materials—as God leads you.
