Speaker :Claire Gibson

I see myself as a Christian professional woman, a mother and a wife. I have worked in education for twenty-five years, both in London and overseas. For the last seven years, I was living and working with my husband James and three daughters in Kampala, Uganda. We had the opportunity to serve with Africa Inland Mission. James was teaching and discipling veterinary students whilst I worked as the senior school principal at Acacia International school. For five years I was establishing and running Acacia, a Christian International Secondary school in Kampala.

This role allowed me to see first-hand the positive impact of Jesus in young people’s lives. This role also allowed me to know the value of faith in the workplace. While in Kampala, I worked in various capacities within the education sector - in the local community, training teachers and also working in school inspection. I have spoken in churches and at Christian women’s conferences and I have been able to tolerate being married to a vet for fifteen years!
Now back in the UK and based in Suffolk, the Gibsons are adapting to UK life and weather!

The VCF subsidises families, students and overseas workers so that cost does not prevent anyone being able to come along. If you are able to make a donation to help towards folk who struggle to pay, that would be a huge blessing.
